Exclusive French Carp Fishing for Discerning Anglers
Set in beautiful countryside in the Creuse region of France, lies the two hundred year old Etang Bourdeau. Opening on 1st May 2012, the venue offers high quality, exclusive fishing, in stunning surroundings.
At just over 14 acres, the lake is available to book exclusively from May until the end of October for up to a maximum of four anglers. Seven swims, some of which are doubles, have been carefully spaced out around the lake to provide access to all areas with plenty of room between anglers.
The lake received a stocking of 1.3 tonnes of top quality fish in December 2010, and now contains common and mirror carp from high twenties up to mid forties and catfish to 70lb+. This supplements an original stock of around 150 carp, which have been caught up to mid twenties, and boy do they fight! The lake also contains zander, roach, rudd and perch. Some of the catches from our occasional short sessions are shown in the gallery. In the very brief time we have had to fish the lake it has already produced carp to 40lb+ and catfish to 50+.
High quality, self catering, accommodation in the form of a stone built gite is provided on site for the exclusive use of anglers.
The gite is sited adjacent to the main house where, if required we can provide breakfast and/or evening meals for anglers who don’t want to cook. In addition, any party wanting that extra level of comfort can be accommodated in the main house – a hundred and seventy year old converted water mill with two spacious double bedrooms with on suite facilities.
